I am a Tulsa native and I am glad to be back in the area. While growing up as an avid soccer player, I really enjoy all sports. This led to my interest in sports-related and orthopedic injuries. I graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2003, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Education, Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training. I earned my clinical doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Central Arkansas in 2006.
My clinical interests are in treating orthopedic and sport-related injuries, including the spine. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to serve the Lady'backs basketball and track and field teams as a student athletic trainer. In the same capacity, I also worked soccer camps and NCAA track and field championships sponsored by the University of Arkansas.
In my personal time, I enjoy playing soccer and golf, as well as spending time with my family. I also value my time at church and spiritual growth that guides my life.
Glenna Sinkhorn, PTA
My name is Glenna Sinkhorn. I received an associates degree in Physical Therapy in 1985 from Tulsa Junior College. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of treatment settings, such as; acute care, schools, work-hardening, long-term care and out-patient facilities. I have worked in Owasso in out-patient physical therapy for seven years, where I have enjoyed providing individualized treatment programs and interacting with our clientele on a personal basis in order to best meet their needs. I have taken several courses in lumbar stabilization in conjunction with core-strengthening and enjoy applying these principles to exercise programs to correct faulty movement patterns and improve functional mobility. I have also received training in aquatic relaxation techniques such as Ai Chi, Watsu, and Jahara along with aquatic back rehab which incorporates balance and neuromuscular retraining.
Marcus Metcalf, DPT
I am a physical therapist at Redbud Physical Therapy at the Owasso clinic. Health and wellness have always been a part of my life, and I love to share it with others. After high school graduation, I pursued a Bachelor's in Exercise Science at Northeastern State University. Through the study of exercise science, I became fascinated in the anatomy and physiology of the human body. While I was attending NSU I received my certification as a personal trainer through the International Sports Science Association. After college graduation, I chose to further my career by getting a doctorate in physical therapy at Southwest Baptist University and it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made.
I was born and raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where I was very active in sports throughout high school and college. I love the art of competition no matter what the sport is. I think of competition as not only competing against others, but competing against ourselves to perform the best at which God has given us. I know that I have a distinct characteristic of being a motivator, whether it is through rehabilitation, training, or with family and friends. I enjoy helping people with their physical struggles and difficulties.
While working with my patients, I apply knowledge, motivation and compassion. I hope to prove myself in this industry by being an expert in my field through lifelong learning. I promise to continue to be the best at what I do, to help people be the best that they can be.
